Storytime with the Girl Scouts: Growing Things - Wednesday, April 1st @ 7:00 pm - Dreaming of spring, come to learn about all things that grow: plants, animals, and even you! Join Cadette Girl Scout Troop 50156 for stories, songs, a cool craft, and a yummy snack! Fun for the whole family! | ||||
PJ Family Storytime: Pajama Party! - Monday, April 6th @ 7:00 pm - We're busting out our very best PJs for a going to bed party! Join us for sleepy stories, songs, games, a fun craft, and a delicious snack. Wear your PJs and bring a stuffed friend to join in the fun! Fun for the whole family! Evening Baby Book Nook - Tuesday, April 7th @ 7:00 pm - Join Miss Terry in the evening for nursery and action rhymes, songs, books, and so much more! For children birth to 2 years old, with a caregiver. No registration necessary - just show up ready for fun! Preschool STEM: Shapes Galore - Monday, April 13th @ 3:15 pm - Come discover the science, technology, engineering, and mathematics found in shapes with stories and hands-on activities designed to engage young minds. For children ages 2 - 5, with a caregiver. Taco Tuesday: Middle School Book Discussion - Tuesday, April 21st @ 6:00 pm - Join Miss Terry for lively discussion and delicious snacks! This month we'll be discussing Time of Angels by Karen Hesse. Request your copy of this month's selection at the circulation desk. For students in grades 6 - 8. Recycled Art - Wednesday, April 22nd @ 4:00 pm - Celebrate Earth Day at the library by exploring art in a whole new way! We’ll turn trash into treasure! What can you make out of recyclables? Feel free to bring a bag of clean recyclables along with you or just use ours! For children in Kindergarten—5th grade. Anime Club - Thursday, April 23rd @ 4:00 pm - Do you enjoy anime and manga? Then you won't want to miss our fun NEW anime club! Come watch some anime, enjoy Japanese snacks, and talk with fellow enthusiasts! For teens in grades 6 - 12. American Girl Tea Party - Sunday, April 26th @ 3:00 pm - This inter-generational event invites children & their grown-ups of all ages to bring a favorite doll and learn about Molly and her life in the 1940's. A $5 donation per person is requested. This is an after-hours program - Library doors will open at 2:45 pm. Tail Waggin' Tutors - Monday, April 27th @ 7:00 pm - Trained therapy dogs will be here hoping to hear a story or two! Practice your reading skills while enjoying the company of some furry friends! For children ages 4 and up - reading ability encouraged but not required. Signing Storytime - Tuesday, April 28th @ 6:30 pm - Join the Early Intervention Program “Choices for Children” from the Western PA School for the Deaf for a special spring storytime conducted in sign language! Families will enjoy a few fun stories, a neat craft, and a yummy snack all while learning some basic sign language! This program is geared towards families with young children, but all are welcome! Lego Extravaganza Club - Wednesday, April 29th @ 4:00 pm - Calling all Lego fans! Come build with us! We'll have Legos you can use, but feel free to bring your own. For children ages 3 and up.
