October and beyond....

Fall is such a busy time with school back in session, pumpkins to be carved, and leaves to be jumped in! Don't forgot to visit the library during all this Fall craziness for one or more of our awesome upcoming programs!

Weekly storytimes will continue through October 15th! While Miss Dani is on maternity leave, we'll be offering NEW weekly storytime sessions with Miss Terry!

Preschool Storytime - Tuesdays, October 6 & 13 @ 10:30 am & 1:30 pm - Explore different themes through stories, songs, a craft, and a snack! For children ages 3 1/2 - 6 years old, with or without a caregiver.

Baby Book Nook - Wednesdays, Now - October 14 @ 10:30 am - Nursery and action rhymes, songs, books, and so much more! For children ages birth - 2 years old, with a caregiver.

TOT Time - Thursdays, Now - October 15 @ 10:30 am - Learn and grow with stories, songs, finger plays, fun activities, and a snack! For children ages 2 - 3 1/2 years old, with a caregiver.

Baby & Toddler Lapsit - Wednesdays, November 4 - December 16 @ 10:30 am - Join Miss Terry for a special storytime just for our littlest friends! Enjoy stories, songs, and other fun activities! Geared towards children ages birth - 2 1/2 years old, with a caregiver.

Family Storytime - Wednesdays, November 4 - December 16 @ 1:30 pm - Enjoy storytime as a family! Join Miss Terry for stories, songs, other fun activities, and a snack! Geared towards children ages 2 1/2 to 6 years old, with a caregiver.

Family Movie Night - Monday, October 5 @ 6:30 pm - Renowned children's author Kate DiCamillo is coming to Pittsburgh on October 15th. In anticipation of her visit, let's snack on popcorn while we watch a movie adaptation of one of her books involving a mouse, a princess, some soup, and a spool of thread. Fun for the whole family! Please register!

Star Wars Reads Day - Saturday, October 10 from 12:00 - 3:00 pm - October 10th is the annual celebration of a galaxy far, far away AND the joys of reading! Fight against the Empire by dropping by the library anytime between 12 - 3 pm to make a fun craft or two, challenge yourself to trivia, and pick up some cool space swag. Fun for the whole family! No registration necessary.

PJ Family Storytime: Whooo Says Goodnight? - Monday, October 12 from 7:00 - 7:30 pm - Whooo is getting ready for bed? Find out with stories, songs, games, crafts, and a delicious snack! Wear your PJs and bring a stuffed friend to join in the fun! Fun for the whole family! Please register!

Evening Baby Book Nook - Tuesday, October 13 @7:00 pm - Join Miss Terry in the evening for nursery and action rhymes, books, and so much more! For children ages birth - 2 years old, with a caregiver. No registration necessary.

Anime Club - Thursday, October 15 from 4:00 - 5:00 pm - Do you enjoy anime and manga? Then you won't want to miss our fun anime club! Come watch anime, enjoy Japanese snacks, and talk with fellow enthusiasts! For teens in grades 6 - 12. No registration necessary.

Taco Tuesday - Tuesday, October 20 from 6:00 - 7:00 pm - Bring a friend or two and join Miss Terry for lively discussion and delicious snacks! This month, we'll be reading Here Lies the Librarian by Richard Peck. Request your copy of this month's selection at the circulation desk. For teens in grades 6 - 12. Please register!

Pumpkin Carving Workshop - Monday, October 26 @ 6:30 pm - Bring your own pumpkin to carve and leave the mess at the library! Evan Gealy, local artist, will present a demonstration on pumpkin carving techniques and provide jack o' lantern patterns along with tips and suggestions for doing your own carving. Fun for the whole family! Please register!
