Party at the Library!

March is finally here and we have soooooo many fun things happening at the Library! So many fun reasons to celebrate! We hope you can join us for one or all of these awesome upcoming programs!

Classic Cartoons - Thursday, March 1 @ 3:30 pm - Come relax after school and watch some old school classic cartoons. Enjoy popcorn while watching old favorites and making some new favorites. For students in grades 6—12. No registration necessary—just show up ready for fun!

Happy Birthday, Dr. Seuss! 
Saturday, March 3rd from 12:00 - 2:00 pm

Join us for our annual awesome finale celebration of Read Across America Week with a special birthday party for Dr. Seuss! Enjoy games, crafts, snacks, and other fun activities from 12:00 — 1:30, with stories read by special guest readers from 1:30 — 2:00.

PJ Family Storytime: In the Heart of the Jungle - Monday, March 5 @ 7:00 pm - What animals live in the jungle? Join us for stories, silly songs, fun games, a craft, and a delicious snack! Wear
your PJs and bring a stuffed friend to join in the fun! Fun for the whole family! Please register!

Teen Games N@ - Thursday, March 8 @ 3:30 pm - Stuff your face with pizza and other delicious snacks while playing a wide variety of board, card, and Wii games while hanging out with friends. For students in grades 6—12. No registration necessary—just show up ready for fun!

Family Dance Party - Monday, March 12 @ 7:00 pm - It’s almost spring so let’s dance those winter blues away! We’ll dance to a variety of music, use fun props, try out some different instruments, and work up a sweat while having an awesome time dancing together. Fun for the whole family! Please register!

Leprechaun Traps - Wednesday, March 14 @ 4:00 pm - Make a colorful trap in hopes of catching your very own Leprechaun this St. Patrick’s Day! Feel free to bring along any recyclables you’d like to use in your trap; tissue boxes work great as traps! A $2 donation per child is requested and will be collected at the event. For children in Kindergarten—5th Grade. Please register!

Chapter Chat: Teen Book Club - Thursday, March 15 @ 3:30 pm - This month we’re reading The 5th Wave by Richard Yancey. Read the book prior to our meeting then come for lively discussion and snacks related to the book’s theme. Extra copies of each month’s title will be available at the circulation desk. For students in grades 6—12. Registration requested but not required.


Annual Family Egg Hunt Extravaganza - Sunday, March 18 @ 3:00 pm - A mischievous bunny has hidden eggs throughout the entire library and we need your help to find them! Join us for stories, games, crafts, snacks, and an extreme egg hunt! A $2 donation per child is requested and will be collected at the event. This is an after-hours program: Library doors will open at 2:45 pm! Fun for the whole family! Please register!

Teen Spa Night - Wednesday, March 21 @ 6:30 pm - Have you ever wanted to make your own bath bomb? Come to the Library to find out how! A $5 donation is requested and will be collected at the event. For students in grades 6—12. Please register by emailing Ms. Maria at inksm@einetwork.net

Thursday, March 22 from 6:00 — 8:00 pm : Preview Night - For $6 admission, you can enjoy delicious refreshments and get a first look at all of the awesome items!
Friday, March 23 from 10:00 am — 8:00 pm - Stop by between 6:30—8:00 pm to do a fun craft with Miss Dani!
Saturday, March 24 from 10:00 am — 5:00 pm
Sunday, March 25 from 12:00 — 3:00 pm: Bag Sale! - Fill one of our boxes for $6, or one of our plastic bags for $3.
Friends of the Library Annual Used Book Sale will take place at the Pleasant Hills Borough Building located at 410 E. Bruceton Road.

Which was Better? Book VS. Movie Family Book Club - Monday, March 26 @ 6:00 pm - our meeting, read The Phantom Tollbooth by Norton Juster as a family. We’ll talk about the book and then watch the movie while snacking on popcorn and punch! After the movie we’ll decide which we liked better and why. Extra copies of each month’s title will be available at the circulation desk. Recommended for families with children ages 5 and up. Please register!

Lego Extravaganza Club - Wednesday, March 28 @ 4:00 pm - Calling all Lego fans! Come build with us on the last Wednesday of every month! Build whatever you want and when you’re done we’ll put it up on display. For children ages 3 and up. No registration necessary—just show up ready for fun!
