Back to School Fun

Learn how to make a wallet and more using duct tape! Bring a roll or use ours! For students in grades 6 - 12. No registration necessary.

With the weather getting cooler, will bugs be easier or harder to find? How many bugs will you find? Join Chad Gore, local entomologist, at the Pleasant Hills Arboretum to learn more about bugs in our area! Fun for the whole family! Music Together: Family Music Class - Saturdays, September 14 - November 16 from 9:30 - 10:15 am
Music Together is an internationally recognized early childhood program that, for over 25 years, has been bringing mixed-age families together to sing, dance, and enjoy making music with other families! Sing songs, play instruments, dance, and have pure fun with your child every week for ten weeks! Enjoy a special tuition offer good thru September 3rd - $160 with NO registration fees for the first child and $120 with NO registration fees for each additional child. Classes are limited to 12 children so don't delay!! For children ages birth to five, with a caregiver. September Fun!!!

The weather might be changing,
but the fun isn't stopping!
 
Weekly storytimes continue
throughout the month of September!
No registration necessary - just drop by ready for fun!
 
Preschool Storytime - Tuesdays @ 10:30 am & 1:30 pm - Explore different themes through stories, songs, a craft, and a snack! For children ages 3 1/2 to 6 years old, with or without a caregiver.
 
Baby Book Nook - Wednesdays @ 10:30 am - Nursery and action rhymes, songs, books, and so much more! For children birth to 2 years old, with a caregiver.
 
TOT Time - Thursdays @ 10:30 am - Learn and grow with stories, songs, finger plays, fun activities, and a snack! For children ages 2 to 3 1/2 years old, with a caregiver.
 
After School Adventures continue!
For children in Kindergarten - 5th grade. Please register!
 
Sink or Float Science - Wednesday, September 11th from 4:00 - 5:00 pm - Think you know what will sink and what will float? You might be surprised! We'll test various materials for buoyancy, then make a variety of boats and test them on the open waters!
 
Fall Art - Wednesday, September 25th from 4:00 - 5:00 pm - Autumn is now officially here! Let's celebrate the changing of the seasons by creating beautiful art using natural items only seen in the Fall.

Join us for exciting superhero stories, fun and fantastic games, a super craft, and a delicious snack sure to get you flying! Wear your PJs and bring a stuffed friend to join in the fun! Handprint Flower Fundraiser - Monday, September 23rd from 5:30 - 7:30 pm - Would you like to help the library while also being a part of library history? Join Lynne Mack, local artist, for a spectacular evening of handprint art! For a donation of $25, your handprint will grace our walls as a beautiful flower forever! Enjoy fun crafts and activities while you wait your turn! Fun for the whole family!

Teen Talk - Saturday, September 21st from 1:00 - 2:00 pm - Stuff your face with delicious pizza while enjoying conversation with friends and a variety of games! Have a favorite game? Bring it with you! Tell your friends!
 
Teen Craft: Nail Art - Monday, September 30th from 6:00 - 7:00 pm - Learn how to style your nails with a variety of fun and unique techniques. We'll have a plethora of nail polish to choose from, but feel free to bring your favorite!

TEEN & ADULT SRC FINALE: ZOMBIE PARTY - Thursday, August 8th @ 6:30 pm - Adults and Teens who participated in the Summer Reading Club programs are invited to join us for this undead celebration! Dress up as a zombie or a survivor and enjoy games, crafts, favors, prizes, food and more! Please bring an appetizer or dessert to share. Please register!
 
CHILDREN'S SRC FINALE: MAGICMAN TJ HILL - Friday, August 9th @ 1:00 pm - Children who have participated in Summer Reading Club, along with their families, are invited to enjoy this one of a kind magic show! Sure to make you laugh and scream, Magicman TJ Hill will bring the magic of SRC to a delightful conclusion! Fun for the whole family! Please register!
 
Join us at Community Day on Saturday, August 10th for more Summer fun!
Watch for the Library's Peter Pan float in the parade and visit the Library's booth at Mowry Park. The booth will have crafts and games for the kids and a used paperback book sale. Take a chance on a raffle to win a pirate Jolly Rodger flag!
