Happy Birthday, Dr. Seuss! ~ Saturday, March 4 from 12:00—2:00 pm ~ Join us for an awesome finale celebration of Read Across America Week with a special birthday party for Dr.Seuss! Enjoy games, crafts, snacks, and other fun activities from 12:00 — 1:30, with stories read by special guest readers from 1:30 — 2:00. Fun for the whole family! Please register!
PJ Storytime: Wonderful Weather ~ Monday, March 6 from 7:00 — 7:45 pm ~ What will the weather be like today? Join us for stories about all kinds of weather, silly songs, fun games, an awesome craft, and a scrumptious snack! Wear your PJs and bring a stuffed friend to join in the fun! Teen Games ’N@ ~ Thursday, March 9 from 3:30 — 4:30 pm ~ We’re breaking out all the best classic and new board games including Settlers of Catan, Fluxx, and Zombie Dice just to name a few! And just for fun, we’ll set up the Wii too. Plus, there will be snacks! For students in grades 6—12. No registration necessary—just show up ready for fun!
Leprechaun Traps ~ Monday, March 13 from 4:00—5:00 pm ~ Make a colorful trap in hopes of catching your very own Leprechaun this St. Patrick’s Day! Feel free to bring along any recyclables you’d like to use in your trap; tissue boxes work great as traps! For children in Kindergarten—5th Grade. Please register!
Anime Club ~ Thursday, March 16 from 3:30 — 4:30 pm ~ Are you an anime fan? Join fellow enthusiasts as we watch anime and enjoy Japanese snacks! For students in grades 6—12. No registration necessary—just show up ready for fun!
Flowerpot Fun ~ Monday, March 20 from 4:00—5:00 pm ~ Celebrate the first day of Spring by decorating your very own flower pot using a plethora of fun supplies. We’ll also plant some seedlings for you to take home and eventually transplant into your unique flowerpot. A $2 donation per child is requested. For children in Kindergarten – 5th grade. Which was Better: Book VS. Movie Family Book Club ~ Monday, March 27 at 6:00 pm ~ Come be a part of our exciting new book club! Before our meeting, read James and the Giant Peach by Roald Dahl as a family. At the meeting, we’ll talk about the book and then we’ll watch the movie while snacking on popcorn and punch! After the movie we’ll talk about the similarities and differences, then decide which we liked better. Extra copies of each month’s title will be available for checkout at the circulation desk. Recommended for families with children ages 5 and up. Please register!
Lego Extravaganza Club ~ Wednesday, March 29 from 4:00 — 5:00 pm ~ Calling all Lego fans! Come build with us on the last Wednesday of every month! Build whatever you want and when you’re done we’ll put it up on display. For children ages 3 and up. No registration necessary—just show up ready for fun!
Crafting with Miss Dani at the Book Sale ~ Friday, March 31 from 6:30 - 7:30 pm ~ Join Miss Dani at the Friends of the Library Annual Used Book Sale to make a fun craft! While you’re there, shop the awesome sale to find a book or two to take home with you! Fun for the whole family! No registration necessary—just show up ready for fun! This program will take place at the Friends of the Library Annual Used Book Sale at the Pleasant Hills Borough Building on 410 E.
