SUMMER READING CLUB HAS STARTED!!!!



Summer Reading Club started June 4th and runs for 10 weeks, ending August 13th! That's 10 weeks to read and earn awesome prizes!!! We have a reading club for EVERY AGE and READING ABILITY, from babies through adults!

Readers in Training is perfect for babies and toddlers! Read together every day, share a rhyme or song, and visit the library to earn your prize! Complete at least six weeks to earn a board book! Visit the library to see the complete list of prizes.

Varsity Listeners is for children not yet reading on their own OR just learning how to read. Every 10 books that you read or listen to earns you a raffle ticket! Raffle tickets can be used towards any of our awesome weekly raffles. Visit the library to see the complete list of prizes. Also earn an instant prize for each library visit! (Only one instant prize per day)

Olympic Readers is for children reading confidently on their own, up through those going into 5th grade. Earn a raffle ticket for every hour spent reading! Raffle tickets can be used towards any of our awesome weekly raffles. Visit the library to see the complete list of prizes. Also earn an instant prize for each library visit! (Only one instant prize per day)


Get in the Game...READ! is for teens going into grades 6 - 12. Earn a raffle ticket for every hour spent reading! Raffle tickets can be used towards any of our awesome weekly raffles. It's not too late for fun!

There's still time to sign up and be a part of our Stuffed Animal Sleepover happening THIS WEEKEND!!! 
Drop-off your beloved stuffed animal friend anytime during normal operating hours (10am - 4pm) on Friday, May 13th in the Children's Department. Return on Saturday, May 14th at 11:30 am for a joyous reunion filled with stories, songs, crafts, and delicious breakfast snacks! A $2 donation per person is requested at drop-off.

Work in teams or on your own to construct a tower. Then see if you can knock down your opponents' tower! Feel free to bring recyclables to help in the construction of your tower. For children in Kindergarten - 5th Grade. Please register!

Taco Tuesday: Teen Book Discussion - Tuesday, May 17 from 6:00 - 7:00 pm - Bring a friend or two and join Miss Terry for lively discussion and delicious snacks! This month we'll be reading Wonder by R.J. Palacio. Request your copy at the circulation desk. For teens in grades 6 - 12. Please register!

Anime Club - Thursday, May 19 from 3:30 - 4:30 pm - Are you an anime fan? Join fellow enthusiasts right after school as we watch anime and enjoy Japanese snacks! For teens in grades 6 - 12. No registration necessary - just show up ready for fun!

Mad Hatter's Wonderland Tea Party - Monday, May 23 from 6:30 - 8:00 pm - Children and grown-ups of all ages are invited to put on their best or silliest hat for a wonderful tea party inside the library! We'll sample various teas, enjoy dainty snacks, play a silly game or two, and even make a fun craft! A $5 donation per person is requested and will be collected at the event. All ages welcome! Tail Waggin' Tutors - Monday, May 9 from 7:00 - 8:00 pm - The dogs are back at the library! Trained therapy dogs will be here hoping to hear a story or two! Practice your reading skills while enjoying the company of some furry friends! 
For children ages 4 and up - reading ability encouraged but not required. Please register!

Stuffed Animal Sleepover -  
DROP- OFF:Friday, May 13 anytime between 
10:00 am-4:00 pm PICK-UP BRUNCH STORYTIME: Saturday, May 14 from 11:30-12:30 pm - Ever wonder what your stuffed animals get up to when you're asleep? Drop your stuffed friends off in the Children's Department during normal operating hours on Friday and come back Saturday to see what kind of mischief they got into! We'll celebrate the reunion with stories, songs, crafts, and

April showers bring May flowers!

The end of April means the end of our Spring Weekly Storytime session. We have ONE MORE WEEK of STORYTIMES until we take a short break! 
Don't fret though - storytimes will resume the week of June 7th!

Preschool Storytime - Tuesday, April 26 @ 10:30 am & 1:30 pm - For children ages 3 1/2 to 6 years old, with or without a caregiver.

Baby Book Nook - Wednesday, April 27 @ 10:30 am - For children ages birth to 2 years old, with a caregiver.

We'd like to extend our most joyous welcome back to Miss Dani!! Miss Dani gave birth to her daughter Corrina on November 18, 2015! Miss Dani is happy to be back and looking forward to resuming storytimes! See below for dates and more information on upcoming programs. Stop in and say hello today!

Winter Program Schedule coming soon!  Miss Dani is still on maternity leave, but once she returns, storytimes should start soon afterwards.  Stop by the Children's Library to meet Miss Char, who will be helping with programs for the next few months and Miss Terry will be around too!  The EventKeeper on the Library's website will be updated as soon as possible with more details.
