What are you thankful for?

Here at Pleasant Hills Public Library, we're thankful for lots of things!

Good health, delicious food, an excellent community who loves and supports its library, and of course, books and people who love them! What about you?

 

We're also thankful for storytime! Our weekly storytimes will be taking a break in December so make sure to check out the last sessions of 2013! Weekly storytimes will resume the week of January 7, 2014!

Baby Book Nook - Wednesday, November 27 @ 10:30 am

 

***Pleasant Hills Library will be closing at 5pm on Wednesday, November 27th and remain closed Thursday and Friday, November 28th & 29th. We will reopen on Saturday, November 30th. ***

 

Are you looking for something fun to do after the Thanksgiving holiday?

Make sure to check out Let's Get Messy: A Family Adventure in Painting - Saturday, November 30 from 2:00 - 3:00 pm - Who needs brushes? Not us! Explore the wonders of painting without traditional tools in this fun family program! Get out of the house after a long holiday weekend and let loose with scented finger paint, squishy goo, and unique painting tools such as toothbrushes and cotton balls! Fun for the whole family! Please register!

 

HEY TEENS! Check out Teen Talk: Holiday Edition - Saturday, November 30 from 12:00 - 1:00 pm - Family driving you nuts? Get away from it all and hang out at the library! We'll have pizza and snacks, games galore, and lively conversation about books and life! For teens in grades 6 - 12. No registration necessary - just show up ready for fun!

After School Adventures: Blowing in the Wind - Air Science: Wednesday, November 6 from 4:00 - 5:00 pm - How can you tell the difference between hot and cold air without feeling it? How can you test air pressure? Learn the answers to these questions and more through awesome air and wind experiments! For children in Kindergarten - 5th grade. PLEASE REGISTER!

Join us for stories, songs, games, crafts, and a scrumptious snack sure to please all the hungry turkeys out there! Wear your PJs and bring a stuffed friend to join in the fun! No registration necessary - just show up ready for fun!

Catching Fire: Movie Release Party: Thursday, November 21 from 4:00 - 5:00 pm - The second movie in the thrilling Hunger Games trilogy gets released on November 22nd. Prepare yourself by testing your courage and strength with Capital games, crafts, food, and more! We'll have a trivia contest to see who amongst us could triumph over all! May the odds be ever in your favor.

 

Teen Craft: Cupcake Creations: Monday, November 25 from 6:00 - 7:00 pm - We'll provide the cupcakes and decorating supplies, you provide the creativity to turn them into edible artwork!
