While Miss Dani is away...

Lego Extravaganza Club - Wednesdays, November 18 & December 16 from 4:00 - 5:00 pm - Calling all Lego fans! Come build with us! We'll have Legos you can use, but feel free to bring your own too! All of our creations will be put up on display at the end of our session. For children ages 3 and up. Please register!

Family Holiday Celebration - Thursday, December 3 @ 6:30 pm - Celebrate the winter holidays at the library! Enjoy stories, games, crafts, snacks, and a special visit from the man in red! A $2 donation per child AND a half dozen cookies per family is requested and will be collected at the event.  Fun for the whole family! Please register!

Gingerbread House Workshop - Saturday, December 12 @ 11:00 am OR 2:00 pm - Let your creativity run wild while you use a variety of edible materials to decorate a pre-made gingerbread house! A $3 donation per house decorator is requested and will be collected at the event. Fun for the whole family! Please register!

Fall is such a busy time with school back in session, pumpkins to be carved, and leaves to be jumped in! Don't forgot to visit the library during all this Fall craziness for one or more of our awesome upcoming programs!

Star Wars Reads Day - Saturday, October 10 from 12:00 - 3:00 pm - October 10th is the annual celebration of a galaxy far, far away AND the joys of reading! Fight against the Empire by dropping by the library anytime between 12 - 3 pm to make a fun craft or two, challenge yourself to trivia, and pick up some cool space swag. Fun for the whole family! 1940's Games for Kids - Wednesday, September 23rd @ 4:00 pm - Help the library celebrate its 70th anniversary by learning about games that were popular with kids back then! Learn how to play marbles and jacks! Winners can take home their spoils - but everyone will get to take home at least one marble. For children in Kindergarten - 5th Grade. Please register!

SUMMER READING STARTS SOON!!!!

In fact, it starts SATURDAY, JUNE 6th!!!!


Join us for our annual Summer Reading Kick-Off Celebration at Pleasant Kingdom Playground, located behind the Pleasant Hills Borough building. We'll be partying from 1 - 3 pm on Saturday June 6th, rain or shine! Enjoy crafts, fun activities, visits with superheroes, and ice cream sundaes! There's a summer reading club for EVERY AGE and READING ABILITY, from babies to adults!
Register for SRC while you're there and receive a fun goody bag!

Family Movie Night - Thursday, May 14 @ 6:30 PM - Bring a pillow and a blanket and enjoy some popcorn while enjoying a classic cartoon about a flying elephant from 1941! Fun for the whole family!

Preschool STEM: Discovering Dinosaurs - Monday, May 18 @ 3:15 pm - Come discover the science, technology, engineering, and mathematics found in the study of dinosaurs with stories and hands-on activities designed to engage young minds. For children ages 2 - 5, with a caregiver. 

Chick-fil-A Family Craft Night - Tuesday, May 19 @ 5:00 pm - Stop by Chick-fil-A on Route 51 to make a fun craft or two and enjoy a free kids 4 piece nugget or strip meal!* Drop by anytime between 5 - 7 pm. Fun for the whole family! No registration necessary - just show up ready for fun!

American Girl Tea Party - Sunday, April 26th @ 3:00 pm - This inter-generational event invites children & their grown-ups of all ages to bring a favorite doll and learn about Molly and her life in the 1940's. A $5 donation per person is requested. This is an after-hours program - Library doors will open at 2:45 pm.

Families will enjoy a few fun stories, a neat craft, and a yummy snack all while learning some basic sign language! This program is geared towards families with young children, but all are welcome!

Ballet Dance Party Extravaganza! - Monday, January 26 @ 2:00 pm - Join Miss Sarah Danylo, a dance instructor at Ideal Dance Company, to learn some ballet basics! After mastering a few techniques, we'll have an outrageous dance party! A $2 donation per child is requested. For children ages 3 to 5 years old, with a caregiver.

Lego Extravaganza Club - Wednesday, January 28 @ 4:00 pm - Calling all Lego fans! Come build with us! We'll have Legos you can use, but feel free to bring your own. For children ages 3 and up.

Teen Talk - Saturday, January 31 @ 12:00 pm - Come hang out at the library! We'll have various games you can play and a ton of delicious food to eat! Bring a friend or two to turn it into a party! For teens in grades 6 - 12.
